Which type of guitar you prefer, at the end of the day, is simply a matter of personal taste. I've owned several Les Pauls and numerous USA Strat's... got bored, eventually sold them on. I bought the Ibanez 540S in 1990... gigged it with every band I've played in since. The bridge went rusty... I replaced the bridge, I kept the guitar... wouldn't dream of selling it. Kind of speaks for itself, doesn't it.
